85,000 trade visitors, 2% more than last year, made their way to Frankfurt am Main at the end of January for Paperworld 2015.

Durable showcased its new DURACARD ID 300 compact and lightweight desktop printer, ideal for producing plastic ID cards, membership cards, security passes, loyalty cards and much more.
DURACARD ID 300 incorporates sophisticated technology that allows for a superior high resolution print with an edge-to-edge finish.
The ability to print just one card or hundreds in a matter of minutes saves time and money for companies that frequently need to print membership cards or who have many visitors on site at any time. Plastic cards can be overprinted on both sides, ideal for producing marketing material or loyalty cards on a regular basis.
The ultra-compact size and low weight of the DURACARD ID 300 make it a truly portable unit. With DURABLE’s user-friendly DURAPRINT software, users simply select a card format from numerous template backgrounds and add photos, text, barcodes and much more.
Also on display was the company’s new LUCTRA lighting system, which puts the latest findings on the biological effects of light to practical use. LUCTRA features floor-standing and table lamps in two designs for the illumination of individual office workplaces.
AF International launched the world’s fist active carbon air duster at Paperworld. Sprayduster Zero features ’zero’ flammability, ‘zero’ toxicity, ‘zero’ odour and ‘zero’ risk of combustion.
It also contributes ‘zero’ to the world’s rising CO2 levels and presents ‘zero’ limitations with regard to can orientation.
Perfect for cleaning keyboards, printers and camera lenses, it is an entirely eco-friendly, odourless, invertible and non-flammable product that delivers a consistent blast of gas with variable control. This is particularly useful for intricate equipment or items that cannot be moved for cleaning or maintenance.
With the phasing out of HFCs and greater pressure on VOC reduction, AF’s Sprayduster Zero provides a highly effective alternative to conventional air dusters that release global warming gases into the environment.
Demonstrating its commitment to environmental protection at a product level, Edding was showcasing the EcoLine series of permanent, whiteboard and flipchart markers.
Featured products included a new highlighter in which the proportion of renewable raw materials in the cap and barrel has been increased from a minimum of 70% to 90%; waterproof and wipe-resistant permanent markers, in which as much as 96% of all the plastic parts are made from recycled materials; and flipchart markers, available in a range of four brilliant colours and two stroke widths.
Filter fires in EcoLine markers are also made from recycled materials. To extend product life and reduce waste, markers can be refiled and, if necessary, even the nibs can be replaced.
All markers are available individually or in sets of four.
Also on show was the super-small edding 7 mini highlighter. Available in fie bright neon colours and with a chisel tip measuring 1-3mm, this mini highlighter features a non-slip, ergonomic grip and removable cap complete with clip, which fits neatly onto the end of the pen, almost doubling its length.
The Austrian stamp manufacturer’s new Printer Standard with extensive personalisation options was previewed at Paperworld.
This new self-inking stamp features an XXL image window for detailed personalisation. On stand, COLOP demonstrated how easy it is to design ImageCards for the new Printer, using its free software.
The ICD7 software solution is designed for the professional B2B sector, can be integrated into existing online shops and comes with a wide range of design functions. ImageCard Designer (www.imagecard.colop.com) for end users offers fewer options.
A new design for Trodat Ultimark models, suitable for the production of pre-inked stamps with Flash technology, was launched at the show.
With pre-inked stamps, the ink is already integrated within the text plate, so no separate ink pad is required, guaranteeing thousands of precise and clean imprints. The Trodat Ultimark can be re-inked repeatedly and very easily; simply remove the handle and re-ink drop by drop with Trodat Ultimark ink.
Its ergonomic design makes it easy and comfortable to use and a large index window enables users to instantly select the right stamp. A cap protects the stamp from dirt, whilst also preventing accidental stamp imprints.
HSM revealed a new range of SECURIO shredders featuring an automatic paper feed. Made in Germany with Nanogrip Technology that ensures smooth shredding in auto-feed stack mode, this range saves time and effort. The HSM SECURIO AF150, AF300 and
AF500 incorporate solid steel cutting rollers with V-Tek groove, can stack up to 150, 300 or 500 80gsm sheets respectively and meet security levels P-4 to P-6. The AF150 and AF300 feature a removable waste container for effortless emptying, while both the AF300 and AF500 models have a Lock-and-Go function that protects the inserted paper stack from unauthorised access.
Also new is the HSM Pure range, which includes six models for small offices and departments. Each one is available in three cut variants with security levels P-2, P-4 and P-5.
