BIC KIDS is running a nationwide competition that will see 10 children’s drawings used on 100 billboards across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Launched in partnership with Mumsnet, the competition is running from 17th July – 6th August and is open to all 5-11 year old children. To enter, parents simply need to take a photo of their child’s masterpiece and upload it to the Mumsnet website by Sunday 6th August. Entries will then be judged by an expert panel of creatives from the marketing, publishing and illustration industries, before winners are notified and the billboards launched in September.
Rebecca Huda, BIC UK and Ireland’s Assistant Product Manager – Stationery, said: “We’ve previously experienced great success running BIC KIDS writing competitions in schools, but this year we wanted to go straight to the consumer with a campaign that encouraged parents to take note and make the most of their children’s artwork. Children have some of the most creative brains out there and we wanted to launch an engaging competition to celebrate this and give their work the recognition it deserves.
“The campaign is deliberately designed to encourage children to let their imagine run wild, and show them that their work well and truly does have a place in an adult world. We can’t wait to start receiving entries, and reveal the nation’s best childhood artwork come September!”
The 10 lucky winners will also win a hamper full of BIC KIDS drawing and colouring instruments, including the BIC Kids Evolution Ecolutions colouring pencils, Kid Couleur felt pens and Plastidecor crayons.
